Areas of Use

It is a casting resin used in the production of sculpture, handicrafts, souvenirs, countertops and furniture accessories.

Complementary products to be purchased alongside Cast Type Polyester Resin are Cobalt Octoate 6% Accelerator and MEK-P Freezer.

General Features

  • The resin is not transparent, has a slightly yellow color. The final cured product Cobalt Octoate has a purple-gray color due to the addition of 6%.
  • If you don't want a purple-gray colored product, you can colorize your final product by using a Covering Pigment Paste.
  • You can paint your final product if you wish, using suitable paints (acrylic based, etc.).
  • The resin is suitable for filling (such as calcite (marble powder), talc) and the filling capacity of the resin is high.
  • Cobalt Octoate 6% Accelerator and MEK-P Freezer and must be purchased separately. These auxiliary products do not come with the resin, they must be purchased separately !

Use

Safety- When working with thermosetting resins such as polyester, vinylester, epoxy, work in a well-ventilated environment. Wear a mask if necessary. Be sure to use suitable gloves (For example: FABA Blue 404 Nitrile Gloves). Wear eye protection goggles.

 

Recommended Freezing Ratio- You should use appropriate "Accelerator" (Cobalt Octoate 6%) with a volume of 0.2 ml or a weight of 0.2 g for each 100 g of "Cast Type Polyester". Since the dosage is precise, it is recommended to use a scale such as a precision scale or kitchen scale. To add Cobalt Octoate 6%, you can easily use an injector from which you have removed the needle.

 

IMPORTANT: In accordance with the Freezing and Accelerator Casting Type Polyester sent in your Freezer (MEK-P) and Accelerator (Cobalt Octoate 6%) orders that you will place with your Cast Type Polyester orders. is sent. Please do not use ordinary freezers and accelerators. For best results, the ratio of freezer and accelerator should not be changed. The use of auxiliary materials outside the specified ratios may cause curing or gelling problems too late !
