Dragon Skin 10 Slow Artificial Skin Makeup and Mold Silicone Dragon Skin® silicones are a high performance platinum mold (and product) silicone that can be used in many applications, from skin effects and film special effects to creating production molds that can be cast with a variety of materials. Due to their superior physical properties and flexibility, Dragon Skin® silicones are also used in medical prosthetics and support/bumper applications. Dragon Skin® silicones, which are also used in various industrial applications, have a fixed operating temperature range of -65°F to +450°F (-53°C to +232°C).

General features

Time-tested, Versatile Special Effects Material – Soft, super-strong and flexible Dragon Skin® is used around the world to create eye-catching skin and creature effects. Numerous color effects can be achieved by using Silc Pig® silicone color pigments or Cast Magic® effect powders. Cured silicone can also be painted using the Psycho Paint® system. Cured material is certified to ISO 10993-10 by an independent laboratory. Certificate; Biological evaluation of medical devices, Part 10: Includes testing for irritation and skin sensitivity.

Easy to Use - Dragon Skin® silicones have 1A:1B mixing ratios by volume or weight. The consistency of the liquid silicone can be reduced using Silicone Thinner® or increased using THI-VEX®.Dragon Skin®silicones cure at room temperature (73°F/23°C) with very little shrinkage. Vacuum degassing is recommended to avoid air bubbles in the cured silicone.

IMPORTANT: Lightly apply the release agent to all surfaces of the model with a soft brush, in order to apply it thoroughly to the entire area. Then apply fine spray paint and let dry for 30 minutes. If you have any doubts about the effectiveness of a Sealant/Mold release additive combination, it is recommended to do a small test run using the same surface that will be used in your project.
