HP9 Zero Shrink Mold Polyester

HP9 Zero Shrink Mold Polyester

General Features

Mould polyesters are high performance unsaturated polyester resins used in composite mold making.

Mold Polyester is a low shrinkage, filler-containing unsaturated polyester resin used in mold making. It is hardened at room temperature with the addition of "Accelerator (Cobalt Octoate)" and "Catalyst (MEK Peroxide)".

Safety- When working with BRE 910 mold polyester, work in a well-ventilated environment by taking your personal safety precautions. If necessary, wear a mask and be sure to use suitable gloves. Wear eye protection goggles.

Accelerator Ratio (0.1% - 0.2%)- "Accelerator (Cobalt Octoate, 6% solution) in the range of 1 g – 2 g per 1 kg of "Mold Polyester" You must use ". Since the dosage is sensitive, it is recommended to use a precision scale or kitchen scale to weigh the polyester. To add accelerator to polyester, you can easily use an injector or pasteur pipette from which you have removed the needle.

Important - "Catalyst (MEK-P)" must be added in order for the curing reaction of unsaturated polyester resins to start. Adding "Accelerator (Cobalt Octoate)" alone does not initiate the reaction. Accelerator and catalyst react violently when mixed externally, so they must be added separately into the polyester resin (it is recommended to add the accelerator first and then the catalyst). Special attention should be paid to this issue!
